    Background

    The Creative Skills Training Council was birthed with 8 foundation members in Sydney Australia on May 23, 2006 in response to The Business Council of Australia's New Concept's in Innovation Report - The Keys to growing Australia.

    The report identified clearly that technology and science were no longer the prime creative drivers in business. Creativity occurred continually and at levels within organizations. Any organizations challenge was to recognize this phenomena and channel it accordingly. The report expressed concerns that education and training in general was a best limited in this area within Australia. This report tends to mirror the concerns and opportunities experienced and expressed globally.

    Summary

    The CSTC as a members only on-line community has expanded rapidly since its inception and can claim to be a truly global network. It has members from the America, Australia, Canada, Norway, Singapore, United Kingdom that are committed to researching, exploring, sharing and commenting on the concerns and opportunities experienced and expressed globally in this vital new industry, the training of creative skills.
