Dr Amantha Imber is the Head Inventiologist at Inventium and is Australia’s only creativity practitioner using science-based techniques. Amantha has a Doctorate in Organisational Psychology, which means that aside from being able to read minds better than most people, she brings a more scientific and valid approach to the field of creativity and innovation.

Amantha has that rare talent of taking learnings from science and academia and applying them to practical, real world situations in ways that are simple to understand.

Through Inventium, Amantha works with organisations training them in creative thinking skills, facilitating workshops, and also works with her clients at a cultural level, advising them on changes that can be made to their processes and practices to enhance creativity and innovation. Amantha has worked with C-Level executives down to university graduates in organisations such as Deloitte, AMP, Australia Post, Qantas and NRMA.

Amantha is an engaging, highly energetic, and entertaining speaker and trainer. She also writes a regular column on science-based innovation for Fast Thinking magazine and is author of the upcoming book ‘The 52 rules of Creativity”.

Prior to Inventium, Amantha spent several years working as a Senior Strategist working for Leo Burnett. During her time in advertising, she created and wrote B&T Weekly’s back page column ‘Did You Know’ for three and a half years which looked at the science behind consumer behaviour. She continues to be a regular media commentator on all things consumer, having appeared on Channel Nine’s Today, SBS’s Insight, ABC Radio, and is regularly quoted in mainstream and industry publications, ranging from the Sydney Morning Herald through to Australian Doctor.

Amantha had an international record deal for her debut album ‘Like Samantha without the S’, prays to the God of Kevin Spacey, and used to be freakishly good at table tennis.
